I was supposed to do a new post this morning, after slacking off putting a new post up these past few days. However, after hearing what happened in Newtown, CT at Sandy Hook Elementary, I found myself lost for words. So instead of posting a new book post today, I am focusing my attention on the loss of 20 precious children whos lives were taken away today, and 6 teachers who lost their lives trying to protect those children. It is these children and teachers who help share children’s literature, who enjoy children’s books, and bring these books to life with their reactions. Although I do not have any children of my own yet, I have been heartbroken throughout the day thinking about the loss of these great children and teachers. I can’t even imagine what the families are going through right now.
So I dedicate this post to the families of the victims and victims who survived this tragedy. My thoughts and prayers will be with you throughout this difficult time. I ask everyone reading this post to also pray for the victims families, and the survivors who experienced and witnessed this horrible tragedy.
